The Grace and Beauty of Orchids

Orchids bring a level of delicate sophistication and grace that make a room feel beautiful without pretention.  With thousands of different species and hybrids available and a wide range of bloom colors lasting several months, integrating orchids into home décor is an easy way to bring in an affordable organic pop of color or add a neutral elegance to virtually any room. 

Don’t get me wrong!  I love fresh flowers, but orchids are the gift that keep on giving.  I’ve used orchids over the course of several years in our homes and have been fortunate enough to experience numerous bloom cycles when placed in well lit locations.  These tropical plants are low maintenance and enjoy abundant light and regular watering. 

It seems like they’ve always had a place in the dining room, living room, and master bedroom of our homes.  The other benefit of orchids I’ve always loved… if I’m short on time and can’t run out to pick up fresh flowers before company arrives, I can easily relocate an orchid to breathe life into a stale space.
